Inside Krishna Khadka’s house near Pokhara

There is this store in the University Village, Seattle, called Caldwell’s, and it is filled with the most exquisite array of very expensive gift objects, clocks, frames, scarves, rugs, imported art – all seemingly of such subtle and refined craftsmanship. Whenever I walk by, affluent and beautiful looking people are coming in and out.

As a part of my work, I sometimes find myself in houses of these sorts of people, and I’m always amazed at both the careful placement and the sheer number of beautiful decorative items and art. Time and money allow some people the ability to devote great effort to the identification and collection of beautiful things.
